At my heart I am a portrait photographer. I think no matter what genre I shoot this will always show and be at the forefront of my work. My goal as a portrait photographer is to not capture how someone looks, but to capture who they are. I know that sounds super cheesy. If you spend five minutes around me though you will know I am a super cheesy person.

THE STORY OF RECONCILEDPHOTO
A Passion for Pictures
What started my passion for creating images? I grew up in a small southern town. It was the summer between my 8th grade and freshmen year. It was the time of the year where every church puts on a vacation bible school. So, in what I am now sure was an effort to pacify me with something to do my aunt gave me her camera, a Rebel XTI, to take pictures of the even. I immediately fell in love. Not for the reason you may think though. See the thing is I have no cones in my eyes. I have an extreme difficulty time processing light. So, by taking these images it allowed me to see the world in a whole new light. The joke was implied you may laugh now.
What about wedding, why weddings? Two people come together they say, “I have seen that you are broken, I choose to be with you though the worst.” Why wouldn’t I want to be involved in as much of that as possible. The beauty and intimacy of the event is something my soul will always bask in.
What about boudoir? SCANDAL!!!!!!! Yeah, I get this one all the time. Why did I start? So, it happened my wife’s junior semester of her undergrad. She is an art education major and was taking figuring drawing. She is also blind, and you could see how this could create a problem in her education. She was unable to see the models that the school brought in. We contacted a few models I had made connections with and asked them to help create reference images. A few of them graciously gave us their time. I fell in love with the general esthetic of it all. What about lust? Well, there is the short answer and the long answer. The short answer is I have never felt attraction to a woman who I have spent over 30 minutes editing pimples from her butt. The long answer, as a photographer we focus on posing, lighting, emotion, and experience. We are not looking at 'you' but at creating the best images. I promise you will have a comfortable, fun, and professional experience.
